Societal Mindset - Revolution Series

We are in a society where, children are allowed only to listen to their teachers and not question them. Do you really think children would ever learn to think in their own capacities? It's time for the society to change minds and give space to all the kids around. This is a start to the revolutionary process of thinking! Just remember, you are giving space to the creation of a strong intellectual community around you!
Children are not to be forced to take up careers they hate, give them a chance to learn something they love and you will see a society which would accept anyone and everyone with warm hearts and love.

Respect all Languages

We are failing to notice the hatred that is being developed between North Indians and South Indians based on language. This is increasing day by day and people are growing intolerant towards it. Abuses are being thrown against each other. Recently we even witnessed some hindi speaking people walking out of AR Rahman Sir's concert and asked for refund, because he sang tamil songs. We are also witnessing continuous hatred that is being developed between people. Off lately, this has become a major issue in many places across the country! Why do we fail to respect other languages, respecting it doesn't cost us anything, instead develops love and affections towards the other community all together. We are to be focused on working towards development of our country and not fight for language. Embrace all people, all languages and treat everyone as Indians irrespective of language, demography and race. Why create issues between ourselves? Love each and everyone and spread love and respect towards all languages and cultures. I have so many North Indian friends, I love all of them, most of them have been trying to learn Kannada too. Yet, there are some who hate to learn it! Infact the logo and website designed for me are by my two north Indian friends! Though the constitution has scheduled 22 languages across the country and each one has its own importance, imposition of a particular language will hurt the sentiments of the other cultures. Treating all languages with equal respect, would be the best suggestion to stop the hatred being spread across. Its only with our mindset we can stop all of these! These are my personal views and hoping to know more from your end too! Religion – A Myth ? (Continued….)

We all did have a little thought about how far these religions are true today. Now, what is this religion all about? Why are we being pressurized with this? Has anybody questioned on these things earlier? – I have no clue. But,
Let me tell you about one such religion that I have my views and opinions on.
HINDUISM – Third largest religion in the world with its base in India. A religion which is regarded as the oldest of all. It is also said that Buddhism, Jainism and Sikhism took its birth from this religion. This religion has given us concepts in Astronomy, physics, mathematics, astrology, yoga, vaasthu and many more. Home to various thoughts that are considered in current world as an invention, hinduism has been giving its ideas free of cost to the world.

Now, Hinduism is NOT actually hinduism. Confused? We were never called Hindus until someone came upto us and said “Hey you guys are hindus and you all belong to hinduism” (satirically). We were a part of a group which followed “SANATANA DHARMA”… pretty shocking to hear? Yes! Sanatana Dharma, not a religion but a way of life ( Seen in Bhagavata Purana and Manusmriti ).  This was later coined to a new term called Hindu by persians. It is said that Persians who came to trade with the people who lived on the banks of river Sindhu could not pronounce Sindhu and instead called it as Indhu, which later after thousands of years it became India.
Sindhu > Indhu > Indus > India. Also, Indhu > Hindu (7th Century, author Xuanzang) and Hinduism/Hindooism (18th Century, British).

There is also a 3 year long study that was done by 2 botanists names Amruthalingam and P Sudhakar, who have scientifically proved that Ramayana is not a myth and it has actually happened. The flora and fauna that were mentioned in Valmiki’s Ramayana (around 182 types of flowers, fruits and trees) are found in the same route that Lord Ram travelled from Ayodhya to Sri Lanka. Isn’t this astonishing? We do not know if Lord Ram was really an avatar of Lord Vishnu or a god, all that we have learnt is how Lord Ram (Maryadha Purushotham) lead his life, the life story of Ram was considered to be an example for us and learn from it. All that we did was, turned it into a cult and followed the principles that he did. Followers of Lord Ram became the Cult of Lord Ram. Repeating, we only followed his way of life
Last but not the least, Sanatana Dharma believes in ‘Vasudaiva Kutumbakam‘ and ‘Sarva Dharma Samabhava‘, where we believe that the entire world is one family and all religions deserve equal respect.
My question to you “Is religion really a myth?”
Lots of Love

Religion - A Myth?

Homo Sapiens date back to 5,00,000 BC. Homo Sapiens Sapiens or Humans date back to 2,00,000 BC. Behavioural Modern Humans date back to 40,000 years. Religion dates back to max 8,000 – 10,000 BC.
Who created this concept of religion? Why are we being terrorised with this concept today? Do you also feel that the next big war is going to be based on this?
Here is a two minute video that puts up a question to you, if “Religion is really a Myth”
Also,do not forget that religion was something that we all created for ourselves! Today, we are bound by our very own creation. It is up to us as to how we take this forward!

THE JOY OF CLOWNING

THE JOY OF CLOWNING 😀
CC

“It was when I wanted a change from my routine life…. When I was searching for something that I had lost… The smile on my face that was gone…. Gone for so long that I had actually forgotten about it! Was in a stage where I was in bad need of it… that is when I heard about this beautiful initiative that actually changed my views…”

“Compassionate Clowns” it was. Someone who often does something funny to make people laugh… showing their concern towards someone sick, hurt or poor! That feeling of wanting to help someone! Yes! These two amazing words were put together to form an organization with an aim of spreading LOVE! Awareness through a new methodology in curing someone sick or hurt (be it physical or mental) in the form of love! You heard me right! LOVE it is. MEDICAL CLOWNING.

Just 3 sessions with them, changed my complete life! You might have seen pictures across social media where people paint their face and visit hospitals…. So are these people some kind of visiting – doctors? Yes! But not qualified ones… They are definitely the ones who work with the Nature’s concept of cure. To give an example, have you watched Munnabhai, MBBS? Do you remember that Old man who used to love playing carom? Yes that doctor’s dad! Also remember he was admitted to hospital? Where the so called Doctor Munnabhai cures him? Not as a doctor but as a HUMAN! In those similar lines are the compassionate clowns! All the Clowns (that’s what we call ourselves) are Munnabhai’s helping those children… in getting a faster and a quicker treatment.

We” paint our faces! We visit the wards in the hospital, spend time with those kids – play with them, sing with them, dance with them, act with them and what not do we do? We do every possible thing to make those kids smile (amidst of all the pain that they are going through). We tend to get the KID out in us to make those kids smile!

Yes! SMILE, SMILE, SMILE is we think of! As we believe that SMILE is the best form of cure for any ailment. This smile has cured diseases like that of cancer and we have many examples of it! I remember my first clowning session at Indira Gandhi institute of Child Health Hospital…. I met this small girl, aged about 6 years called Blessy…. One of the most energetic girl who sang along with us, danced with us and for a matter of fact she was under treatment for more than 2 weeks as of then. One week down the line, the next clowning session doctors told us that she was getting discharged in a couple of days and it was quicker than we expected! Guess what she told us? “Your smile has helped me get home faster!” I just regained that smile I had lost… while trying to make her smile… she helped me regain mine! That is the POWER of SMILE! And that is what Compassionate Clowns believe in!

The founder of CC – Harish Bhuvan just said this in one of the Reflection session “You give something to Universe and Universe will give it to you in return” this has stuck in my head and will remain forever. Universe is the baap of everything… Give away positive vibes to it and get the same in return… the entire cycle of life runs through this concept. And this is the key to happiness.
20151203_183417

A little brief about compassionate clowns…. We clown 4 days a week. Tuesday at Narayan Hrudayalaya Hospital, Thursday at Indira Gandhi institute of Child Health Hospital, Saturday at St. Johns Hospital and Sunday at Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology. Each Clowning session starts with a prayer, clowning and reflection where everyone reflect their learnings.

Every Clowning session is different experience, every minute spent here is a learning and every person we meet here is our FAMILY! As Abraham Lincoln said “In the end, it’s not the years in your life that count. It’s the life in your years”
Be a part of this great initiative! Let us spread the word of happiness and love! Let us bring in the change and make a change 😀

With Lots of Love,
Yours,
Ganesh Datta Lakkur

“राख का हर एक कण मेरी गर्मी से गतिमान है मैं एक ऐसा पागल हूँ जो जेल में भी आज़ाद है – Every tiny molecule of ash is in motion with my heat. I am such a lunatic that I am free even jail”. I get Goosebumps when I hear these statements! Just imagine, it’s been 85 years since Bhagat Singh made this statement. We have reached a stage where the sacrifices of these 3 people are forgotten today! So here is my article to revive back their dedication to attain freedom for our country.
1254px-British_Indian_Empire_1909_Imperial_Gazetteer_of_India
1600 AD when British stepped into India with a motto to trade. It took them 165 years to step down deep into the system and start ruling here. Starting from Bengal then to Bihar, Orissa, Bombay, Madras, Hyderabad and fixing their capital at Delhi, they conquered the entire country by torturing people with their ideologies. As we all know, they ruled from 1773 AD to 1947 AD for a brief period of 174 years, literally destroying India’s culture, tradition and system. The struggle by Indian’s to let go of these was one of the worst phases of India’s history. Stand still and stagnant economy of the British Raj was a plunder and catastrophe to the traditional Mughal Economy.
At the age of 20, how many of us dare to go against someone who has held a high position in the society? Forget this. How many of us dare to stand up for our leader who’s working for a good cause? 90 years ago they did it! You might know them; in fact you would have heard about them and are definitely proud! Yes! Bhagat Singh along with Sukhdev Thapar, Shivram Rajguru and Chandrashekar Azad decided to stand for their leader and role model Sri. Lala Lajpat Rai’s death. They in fact killed Assistant Superintendent of police John P. Saunders mistaking him for James Scott (One who ordered for lathi charge during Lala ji’s protest). At that point of time though Gandhi and Nehru condemned this act, yet Nehru made a statement “This isn’t an act of terrorism but a symbol of honor to Lala Lajpat Rai.”   To keep themselves away from the eyes of C.I.D, Bhagat Singh and Rajguru left Lahore and reached Howrah and Benaras respectively. They stayed away from British close to a year.

Remembering those events that Bhagat Singh witnessed at Jallianwala Bagh (1919) where thousands of them were killed and the 1922’s Chauri-Chaura incident, Bhagat Singh wanted to revolt against British in a way they would never forget. Auguste Villiante, a famous French anarchist had bombed the ‘Chamber of Deputies’ in Paris., inspired by him Bhagat Singh’s plan was to explode a bomb inside Central Legislative Assembly. In 1929 he and Batukeshwar Dutt threw 2 bombs at C.L.A while at session. Though the bombs were designed not to kill, a couple of them were injured. Both of them could have escaped but stayed there shouting “INQUILAB ZINDABAD” (long live the revolution). They were arrested! Gandhiji yet again did not support this act.
rare-indian-photo-big-image-6-pixgood_1426148751
While at trail, Bhagat Singh exclaimed these beautiful words “We hold human life sacred beyond words. We are neither perpetrators of dastardly outrages … nor are we ‘lunatics’ as the Tribune of Lahore and some others would have it believed … Force when aggressively applied is ‘violence’ and is, therefore, morally unjustifiable, but when it is used in the furtherance of a legitimate cause, it has its moral justification”. After all he did what he felt was moral and right! When James Scott was responsible for Lala Lajpat Rai’s death, when Colonel Dyer was responsible for Jallianwala Bagh massacre and these were left free unquestioned without any punishment; was protesting against them wrong? Never!
A few days later, the British got hold of Rajguru, Sukhdev and 21 others, who were arrested for setting up bomb factories at Lahore and Saharanpur and also for Saunder’s killing and assembly bombing case.
bhagat
Bhagat Singh was arrested and sentenced to life. When he was shifted from Delhi jail to Mainwali Jail, he witnessed discrimination between Indian and European prisoners. He started a hunger strike which rose to gather national attention and massive public support. Nehru and Jinnah met him and extended their support to the strike. As Bhagat Singh’s name was spreading across the country day by day, Lord Irwin set up a special tribunal to pace up the trial, as Bhagat Singh was using trails as a mode to publicise his views. On 7thOctober 1930,during the final judgement Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev were sentenced to death by hanging in Saunders murder case or famously called the Lahore Conspiracy Case. On March 23rd 1931, these 3 great heroes were hanged.

This day is seen as “Shaheed Divas”. Every time I read about these freedom fighters, my blood boils in vain. They gave up their life to see our future secure and today we are sitting here and debating as to “letting India go”. What has gotten to our country? What is happening to our people? Why are we hailing terrorists like Afzal Guru? Answers to all these questions are within us, I hope we all work towards protecting our country and our rights!
